TS3 and TSM Spellbooks

Almighty Hat Suggested that I make the TSM Spellbooks functional, so I did. I also did the TS3 Spellbook while I was at it.

These work as Apartment Life spellbooks, and therefore require Apartment Life. They are found in Hobbies-> Misc.

I deleted part of the animation so sims won't turn the pages; however when a non-magical sim tries to look at the spellbook, the maxis book appears from nowhere to bite them- I couldn't figure out how to delete that,  but having non-magical sims examine it isn't the main purpose of a spellbook anyway.

More TSM Conversions

***Update*** download link is fixed, it should link to the correct file now!

I wanted shields to hang on the wall, so I went to convert some from TSM, which led to finding other random things to convert...

Wall Shields are all in Deco -> Wall, and shouldn't require any expansions.

Blacksmith sign, barrel sign, and Physcian's shelf are in Deco -> Wall, and shouldn't require any expansions.

Statues are in Deco -> Sculptures, and shouldn't require any expansions.

The book pile with the candle is a lamp, found in Lighting -> Table Lamps, and it requires University.

All other items are in Deco -> Misc and shouldn't require any expansions, except poissibly the Hourglass, I can't rember what I cloned it off...

30/1/2016: When Going through my deco category in buy mode, I noticed that the 'Bella Squared' painting was missing... turns out one of my TSM shields was overwriting it, so I've given the shield a new GUID, as well as brightening up all the shields now I know more about the TXMT. I also brightened up and reduced the size of the Physcian's shelf while I was at it. Better late than never, right?

TSM Conversions

***Update*** The shadows on the Scribe Tables have been fixed. Please re-download!

I've made a bunch of TSM conversions:

Deco Archives and Arcane Tomes- in Deco -> Sculptures, requires OFB.

Functional Arcive- Made up of 3 seperate meshes, Scribe table, deco peices, and book shelf.
Place the peices together using placement cheats. The Scribe table acts as a drafting table, and the bookshelf is functional. Requires FT for the Scribe Table.
Archive Scribe Table- Hobbies -> Creativity
Archive Scribe Table Deco- Hobbies -> Creativity
Archive Bookshelf - Hobbies -> Knowlege

Bar- I forget what bar I cloned this off, so I'm not sure if it Requires an EP. found in Misc -> Party.

Scribe Tables- cloned from Sunni's scribe table, which functions as a drafting table. When a sim is using the table, the picture doesn't quite sit against the surface, but it's hopefully not to noticable. Found in Hobbies -> Creativity, requires FT.

Deco Market Stalls- in Deco -> Sculptures, requires OFB.
Empty Market Stalls- cloned from a three tile table, so the front counter has three slots, to put things on. you can even put a cash register on there using a counter OMSP (like this one: http://www.modthesims.info/d/329446). found in Surfaces -> Misc., requires Uni.

Tents- functional, cloned from the Maxis tent, found in Comfort -> Misc., requires BV.

Hogwarts Trunks-Decorative and functional versions

Here's somthing I've wanted for a while: Hogwarts Trunks!
and when I can't find what I want, I make it myself!

There are two meshes, the upright trunk is a recolour of StephSim's trunk here: http://www.modthesims.info/d/282251 (Mesh is included in this upload)
This mesh was made by StephSim and Jason Duskey, modifed from a suitcase mesh by MizzesSimmer.

The lying down trunk is a mesh by me- the first mesh I've made from scrach (though it's only a box).

The Textures come a box I have which is printed to look like a Hogwarts trunk- it came with a Harry Potter DVD set. I scanned it and edited the Images to make these textures, I also recoloured it:

These Trunks come in two versions each, making for four different objects; they have separate GUIDs and can all be in the game at the same time.

The decorative versions should be base game compatible, are found in Deco->Sculptures and come in all five colours.

The funtional upright trunk acts as a dresser and requires Pets.

The functional lying down trunk is cloned from the Castaway dresser-basket from MATY (More Awesome than you). It acts a dresser and sims can also use it to right in their diary. I don't think it requires any expansions, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Also, these aren't animated- sims will open an invisible drawer/lift an invisble lid to use them, but they do work.

Here's a comparioson with the trunks from the Harry Potter movies:

All meshes and recolours are included. these aren't slaved in any way (I don't know how) but that way you choose which meshes and colours you want to keep.

TS3 toys made playable + extras

Is playable even a word? Anyway, when I saw Almighty Hat's buyable toybox toys (http://hat-plays-sims.dreamwidth.org/38197.html?thread=844597), I HAD to do that to the TS3 toys.
So, thanks to Almighty Hat for allowing the cloning of her toys, I give you lots of toys!

You get the 12 TS3 toys I converted, plus 5 more from meshes converted by Delonariel.
(I haven't been able to find Delonariel's policy or get a response from them, so hopefully this is okay- if not I'll remove them).

Toys are:
Basegame rabbit
Ambitions crafted cow, dog, robot and whale
A freezer bunny and a tank (not sure which EP they're from)
TS3 store shark, truck, frankenbear,m tiger, and rabbit
and the Supernatural 'claw' machine toys, converted by Delonariel,
a dragon, sheep, nessie, alligator and yeti.

...And then I made 5 TS2 meshes into toys, and the TSM carved horse, because it wasn't in Almighty Hat's set (her set has a different horse). Four of the TS2 toys have recolours as shown below:

These toys are found in the catalogue under Misc-> Kids, for $11, and kids will play with them like the toys that come out of the toybox. However, there is one issue: if you use these on a lot with a toybox, sims may put them in the toybox, where they disappear never to be seen again- so use with toyboxes at your own risk!

also, a few of the meshes are a vertical shape, and don't work so well as horizontal toys. I turned them on their side, but they still look awkward- but you can have them anyway, just delete them if you don't want them.

In trying to figure what do with them, though, I found that the Freezer Bunny and Franken Bear work well as Sir Bicks-o-Lot clones, so I've included "brick" versions of those as well:

The "brick" toys require OFB, everything else should be base game compatible, since they're cloned Almighty Hat's which are.

Credits:
Almighty Hat, for making the toy box toys buyable in the first place,
HugeLunatic and Gwenke for helping Almighty Hat,
and Delonariel for extracting the Supernatural claw toys.

Medieval book replacment using TSM textures

A default replacement for the books and diary using textures from TSM.
(quill pen is by Sunni at the Plumb Bob Keep, here: http://www.medievalsims.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=75&t=1467&hilit=quill

These are the Textures I used, some are from the readable books, some are from the bookcases:

And a pic showing the pages in the reference book:

Like any default replacements, you can only have one at once, so if you have another replacement for the books, remove it before using this one.

TSM toys as default toybox toys

I hadn't seen this done anywhere, so I've done it myself: the TSM toys as default replacements for the toybox toys.

The dragon replaces the rocket, the horse replaces the car, the unicorn replaces the horse, and the boat replaces the boat.

Like any default replacements, you can only have one at once, so if you have another replacement for the toys, remove it before using this one.

TS3 Fairy houses as Dollhouses + TSM Castle Dollhouse

Some more dollhouse options for medieval and fantasy 'hoods!
The fairy houses were converted from TS3 Supernatural by Hcove, and the TSM castle dollhouse was converted by Zeussims, but as deco only. so, thanks to Hcove and Zeussims and their generous policies.

These are functional dollhouses cloned from the base game dollhouse, and they can be found under toys in the catalogue, with Maxis' dollhouse.

Brooms and Wands Default replacements

As a request for Vuokkosims, I have made Default replacements of the Apartment Life witches' brooms and wands, using the meshes I extracted from The Sims 3: Supernatural.

Make sure to remove any defaults you already have of the witch brooms and wands when you put these in your downloads folder.

With the brooms, When they pull out the broom to get on, the animation is not as smooth as with the maxis broom. I think the broom has some of that animation, and I don't know how to do animated objects. However, it works and it does look alright- hope you like it!

"The Lady and the Unicorn" Tapestry

This is the tapestry used on the walls of the Gryffindor Common room in the Harry Potter films. It is an actual medieval tapestry called 'The Lady and the Unicorn'.

I have made it as a set of four walls:
